This course provides a concise overview of the Century Code updates impacting development, design, and permitting, including new zoning districts, review processes, development incentives, revised building and site standards, and regulatory changes for items such as floodplains, erosion control, lighting, and fencing. Participants will also learn about newly adopted subdivision types—Cottage Courts, Green Courts, and Carriage Courts—and receive guidance on working with City staff and using the online permit system to navigate the updated requirements with confidence. Participants will explore the Diamond Kote pre-finish manufacturing process, product lines and color options, performance features that outperform traditional field-painted materials, and key specification and warranty details, gaining the knowledge needed to confidently specify, install, and communicate the value of Diamond Kote products in residential and light commercial construction. 1:15 - 3:15 p.m. Molds: Remediation to Mitigate the Loss (Mary Harwood, Trac Solutions, LLC dba Steamatic)
This course teaches practical knowledge of how mold develops indoors, the health risks associated with exposure, and how to properly assess and sample affected environments, while learning industry standards for moisture control, drying, and dehumidification. The course also covers remediation planning, containment and engineering controls, safe cleaning and removal of contaminated materials, and post-remediation testing, with an emphasis on correcting root causes to prevent future mold growth.(2 CEU Credits)
